Swellendam

Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa and is situated at the foot of the majestic Langeberg mountains in the Overberg, Swellendam is part of the Gardenroute, situated just 200 km East from Capetown and 200 km West from George. It is famous for its architecture and fascinating history. This peaceful town is well known for the Drostdy Museum, the youngberries, arts and crafts. Swellendam is not only a strategic location, but also its beautiful surroundings are famous in whole South Africa.

bloomestate is situated just 1 km from the N2 at the entrance of the town. The total tranquil surroundings on the 2,5 ha estate are an ideal rest for all travellers.

Directions to bloomestate

by car

If you come from Cape Town N2 take the first exit to Swellendam (West), the R60 to Ashton/Robertson. After 1km you come to a 4-waystop, turn right into Voortrekstreet; bloomestate is the first house on the right hand side. If you come from George N2 take the third exit Swellendam (West); which is now the same exit as described above. From the direction of Robertson take the R60 to Swellendam, turn left when you enter the village to the Voortrekstreet; bloomestate is the first building on your right hand side.
